What a busy week we have had in Nursery!

On Tuesday we participated in Sports Day. We had so much fun and tried our best to complete every race. We had so much fun and have talked about it all week! On Thursday we enjoyed a fab PE lesson with Miss Cowling. We made the most of the beautiful sunshine and had lots of fun in the garden, digging and exploring.

Our topic this week is Down on the Farm. We have been learning all about different animals that you might find on the farm. We enjoyed reading the story The Farmer and have made some fluffy sheep.

In Maths this week we have been consolidating our understanding of weight using the language heavy, light, heaviest and lightest.

Week beginning 6th June

We have had a lovely first week back at Nursery.

This week we have been learning all about things that grow such as plants, trees and even people and talked about the different things that plants and people need to grow big and strong. We have used our fingers to paint pictures of flowers and have even planted our own flower seeds. We have been watering them every day to help them grow big.

In Literacy this week we have been reading the story The Enormous Turnip. We have labelled pictures from the story using our amazing phonics knowledge.

In maths we have begun to explore weight. We have have been comparing different objects to see which one we think will be the heaviest and have used some scales to weigh different things.
