Spring 2

Week beginning April 4th

 

This week will be full of Easter excitement! We will be reading Hot Cross Bunny by M Christina Butler and We're Going on an Egg Hunt by Laura Hughes. We will also be reading a brand new Supertato adventure The Great Eggscape! by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet.

 

 

In Maths we will be counting on and back beyond 10 and understanding that numbers 11 to 20 are 'ten and a bit'.

 

We have our Parent Consultations on Tuesday and Wednesday and our Easter disco on Thursday.

Week beginning March 28th

 

This week we will continue our topic of All Around the World with cold countries. We will be reading Penguin Pete by Marcus Pfister and Geronimo by David Walliams.

 

   

 

In Maths we will be building and identifying numbers to 20 and beyond.

Week beginning March 21st

 

This week we will begin our topic of All Around the World beginning with hot countries. We are reading The Crafty Chameleon by Mwenye Hadithi and Adrienne Kennaway and The Mixed-up Chameleon by Eric Carle.

 

  

 

In Maths we are building and identifying numbers to 20 and beyond. We will meet and work with the Numberblocks 16-20.

Circle of Fitness Winners!!

Week beginning March 14th

 

This week we are reading about the adventures of Traction Man by Mini Grey.With an action outfit for every occasion, Traction Man patrols the house. searching the sink for the lost wreck of the sieve (in sub-aqua suit, fluorescent flippers and infra-red mask) or rescuing damsels in distress (in jungle pants, camouflage vest and a bandanna), Traction Man is never less than stylishly turned out and expertly accessorised.

 

 

In Maths we will be introducing numbers 11-15 with our Numberblocks friends.

Week beginning March 7th

 

This week we will meet Super Duck, Super Daisy and Superworm in our Literacy sessions.

 

  

 

 

In Maths we will be consolidating previously learned concepts such as estimation, counting accurately and conservation of number.

 

 

Week beginning February 28th

 

Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed your Half Term break.

 

This week we will begin a 3 week topic on Superheroes named Boom! Pow! Thwack! Our first texts are from the Supertato series by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet.

 

  

 

 

In Maths we are consolidating all previously learned concepts such as number bonds to 10, counting and subitising.
