This week at forest school we cooked using a fire pit outside. The children cooked apples and bananas with chocolate in the ashes of the fire. Then we toasted marshmallows and popcorn in the flames. We learnt how to stay safe around the fire.
We recreated the River Nile using skipping ropes, string, tissue paper and labelled the features from the source to the mouth of the river.
This week the children used their knot tying skills to build their own shelter. They made vehicles and a village for their rope people.
Welcome Back after the half term break. This term we will continue to learn about the Egyptians looking closely at the River Nile and its uses and Egyptian art. Year 3 will continue to attend forest school on a Wednesday.
