Spring 1

Lockdown 3

I understand that some of you will be unsure of how to structure your child's 'home learning' day during lockdown and I would like to reassure you that there is no right or wrong way.

At school we have a 15 minute Maths session between 9-10am and a 20 minute Literacy session between 10.30-11.15am. We have a 20 minute phonic lesson after lunch 12.15-12.35pm and then we have some fun, play-based learning for the rest of the afternoon.

Please remember that as long as your child is safe and happy and accessing our class Seesaw page daily that will be enough.

In Mathematics we will be learning number bonds to 5 over the first two weeks to make sure that the children are really secure with these as they are so important.

Number bonds are 2 different numbers that add up to a certain number. In this case number bonds to 5 would be 5+0, 4+1, 3+2 and then these equations reversed, 0+5, 1+4 and 2+3.
