Welcome to Reception!
Our PE sessions are every Thursday afternoon this year. Please ensure your child has a Waverley PE top and black shorts with them each week. It is helpful to have a drawstring bag which stays on your child's peg for the half term.
Reading books will be changed once a week on a Friday. Please make sure that your child's book is in their folder on a Thursday to be collected in.
Our new topic was to be 'All Around the World' and we were going to continue with this topic focusing on polar regions. We were to read Penguin Pete by Marcus Pfister and Geronimo by David Walliams. Following this would have been an Easter related topic called Hot Cross Bunny based on the book by M Christina Butler and Gavin Scott.
Our next Maths topic was to be Spatial Awareness followed by 2D and 3D shape.

We all love Get Squiggling as it is fun, achievable, great for fine motor skills and particularly good for listening to and following instructions.

Good news for those stuck at home in isolation: Audible is making hundreds of titles available for free during the coronavirus pandemic.
The audiobook platform has said that, for as long as schools are closed, anyone can listen to a vast selection of its titles. This means books read by Westworld’s Thandie Newton and Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens are available to stream at no cost at all.
Simply visit stories.audible.com from any web browser to get started. No log-ins, credit card or passwords needed.
