We are currently in the strangest of times. I know the staff have been working to keep in touch with you all, as you have with them. They really have loved seeing your photos from home - gardening, baking and creating as well as working. We are all missing each other. Mrs Sample has taken overall control/supervision of the home learning whilst I remain in school with minimal colleagues. If you require further reading books please contact school and we will organise a drop off and collection of the ones you currently have (although stock is limited as we sent 2 per pupil). School has remained open during the Easter break for our key worker children. We chose not to join with our Outer West friends at Knop Law (as seen on Look North on Tuesday). Mrs Douse has done everything to get vouchers for our FSM families as fast as possible and as you may have seen on the BBC news online the website has been overwhelmed with demand, we hope the barcodes are imminent. Refunds will be coming for those children who were attending the Sill residential, this may take some time yet due to the relevant people from those companies not being at work as yet. Mrs Selkirk has been keeping in regular contact and support with many families - to the point the phone she was using gave up and she has had to switch to a new phone but using the same number. I have been checking the answer machine at school each day so if we can help in any way please get in touch leaving a name, contact number and your query. I am able to write and post out foodbank vouchers and we are working with Magic Breakfast on emergency food parcels for families we have identified from next week - however if this is something you need then contact school and we will attempt to get more added for a future delivery. Finally take things one day at a time and stay safe everyone.
