Dear Parents, I wish to make very clear that the premises of Waverley Primary School will be used only as an emergency childcare service for those people who are critical to the Covid 19 response. Placing your child in this provision should only be as a necessity. Where there is a family member whose work has been halted, or is working from home then they must keep their child with them. Bringing your child onto the site increases their chance of catching or carrying the virus. Misbehaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to collect your child and make alternative arrangements. Children from year 3 onwards may bring their home learning pack to work on. Children may bring a snack and have juice instead of water in their drink bottle. Children do not need to wear uniform as we are not operating as a school. I remind parents of social distancing and request that you keep 2 metres away from other parents and the staff who are present.
A minimal staffing will be in place on site to minimise infection. There will be no office from Monday and phone messages must be left on the answer machine. Leave a message if your child is not attending the childcare service that day. Queries about home learning are to be emailed to Mrs Sample. Mrs Selkirk will keep in touch with those who are deemed vulnerable but not meeting the criteria to be in school.
