If you are fully vaccinated or aged under 18 years and 6 months and you live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, you are not legally required to self-isolate. However, you are strongly advised to LFT everyday for 7 days and to self-isolate if any of these test results is positive.
A positive PCR:
In the event the PCR test following the LFT also tests positive the person/s should isolate for 10 days. Lateral flows can be undertaken on day 6 and 24 hours later on day 7 both of which must show a negative return as well as the person feeling well in order for them to come out of isolation.
