It was great to arrive at Broomley this morning to see all the children and hear about their adventure so far. This is one of the first residentials many of the children will experience and whilst it is 'fun' they offer more than just the curriculum. Today I saw children conquer fears, gain confidence and experience the elation at doing something they were fearful off. I saw children work as a team, be good friends supporting and encouraging one another. I saw children take responsibility for themselves, clearning dishes, tidying bedrooms, serving themselves food and drinks. A residential helps your child grow and develop, but also makes them appreciate how much you do for them at home. Thank you children for being you. I was proud as always to be your head teacher. Sleep well tonight. Happy washing parents.
